Civil Infrastructure Roles

Job Description

We are seeking a detailed focused Civil Designer and Civil Project Manager to join our busy Civil Infrastructure team in Belfast due to an increasing pipeline of work on a range of community improvement projects including Public Realm, Environmental Improvement Schemes, Blue/Green Infrastructure, MUGAs and Greenways.

PURPOSE OF JOB: 

As part of the existing design team, to delivery civil designs and management of projects for our clients, from concept and detailed designs, planning, procurement and construction on a variety of civil infrastructure projects including public realms, large greenways, environmental improvement schemes, housing layouts and other civil engineering infrastructure schemes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As a member of the Civil Infrastructure Team, under the guidance of senior team members and with the support of the project management team you will undertake the following duties: 

• Preparation of conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of civil infrastructure engineering work,
• Liaising and co-ordinating with clients, design team members, both in house, other offices and/or external consultants,
• Assisting clients with achieving statutory approvals,
• Attending and contributing to design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate,
• Preparation of drawings lists, specifications and design risk assessments using Autocad, Microdrainage and Microsoft Office software,
• Assisting in the preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications and progress reports using Microsoft Office software,
• Managing and leading procurement of contractors on behalf of clients,
• Undertaking the role of NEC Project Manager throughout construction,
• Any other relevant engineering / management duties as may be required from time to time and as determined by Directors.
