A bit of an introduction to the soon to be World Famous McAdam & The Ants!
Rebecca Quinn – Lead Singer / Architectural Technologist
My influences are abundant but to name a few; Celine Dion, Philomena Begley and Pavarotti (3 Iconic Prima donnas). Grew up on Bon Jovi and Garth Brooks, U2, ABBA and Rod Stewart. Born with the Lyrics of Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Cecilia’ in my head.
Love a crooner, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald would be my Living or Dead Dinner Party Guests. Eclectic to say the least!
Tim Robb – Lead Singer / Health & Safety Practitioner
With parents who grew up through the sixties and older brothers who grew up in the seventies and eighties I have quite an eclectic mix of musical influences from The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Pink Floyd, ELO, Bon Jovi, Motley Crüe, Red Hot Chilli Peppers…and the list goes on. There was always music in our house from many different genres. I have added to this growing up in the nineties with the emergence of Grunge and Indie Rock.
Michael Redmond – Lead Guitar / Architect
Grunge, Post Rock, Alt Rock, Punk, Thrash Metal, Deep House, and Synthwave. But it’s hard to beat at bit of Motown and Hall & Oates. And it goes without saying that everything before Taylor Swift was just tuning up…
Adam Fallon – Bass / Engineer
I suppose, ultimately, my biggest musical influence would be my Dad because it was listening to his music while growing up that got me interested in it. Second to that would probably be Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler. But also just Classic Rock and 60s to 80s music in general
Chris Watson – Rhythm Guitar / Architect
I am massive fan of Swedish Underground Death Metal which was the real driving factor of getting myself involved in music and guitar. Tina Turner's Punk Rock Cover band, Keep Rolling, also played its part. I also must confess that ABBA is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. I could listen to them nonstop for days.
Jonny Boyd – Drums / Architect
The main musical influences in my life have been Willie Mason, Beirut and This is the Kit, which inspired me to start drumming in my early teens and I have been ever since.
