McAdam are celebrating the opening of Templemore Baths on June 19th - Ireland’s only surviving Victorian public baths which reopened to the public this week with over 2,000 people visiting this week alone!
This £17m project was delivered by Heron Bros and funded by Belfast City Council and National Lottery Heritage Fund. McAdam worked with Consark to ensure that the original Victorian building took centre stage beside the new extension. The old and the new blend harmonically across the two buildings with various nods to the past, in the glazed passageway that takes them from the original building into the extension, and the glazed brick archways that can be seen from the changing rooms.
McAdam are very proud to have delivered this project, which is such an important part of East Belfast’s history and we look forward to it being enjoyed by generations to come.
