£4 million investment to create vibrant shared spaces in the city via Connecting Open Spaces project

Community and public body representatives came together in City Hall last week to hear about Belfast City Councilís plans to create and animate a network of shared spaces stretching from Glencairn to Bog Meadows in the west of the city.

As part of the community engagement event, McAdam Design presented the emerging route proposals and examples of new park entrances, pavement finishes and street furniture.

Members from the McAdam design team, including MWA, then explored the proposals with the community and public body representatives gaining valuable feedback and thoughts on both the physical infrastructure and programming opportunities. This feedback will now be collated and used to inform future design development.
